Meet Adriana Mocciola
Adriana Mocciola is an award-winning bilingual journalist and Executive Producer whose career spans more than three decades in broadcast media. Born in Argentina, she began working in radio as a teenager before earning a journalism degree and immigrating to the United States to continue her education in broadcast communications.
Throughout her career in Miami, Adriana has held leadership roles at major Spanish-language media organizations, including RCN, Venevisión Internacional, América TeVé, and now Telemundo 51 and NBC 6, where she serves as Executive Producer of Digital, Streaming, and OTT. Her work has earned widespread recognition, including an Edward R. Murrow Award, 16 Emmy Awards, 19 Florida Associated Press Broadcast Awards, and seven Sunshine State Awards.
At age 33, Adriana was diagnosed with sensorineural hearing loss after experiencing symptoms for several years. Fearful that seeking treatment could jeopardize the career she loved, she delayed getting help until it became unavoidable. Rather than allowing hearing loss to define her, Adriana transformed her experience into a source of strength and inspiration. She chronicled her journey in her autobiography, La periodista que no oye, pero escucha (“The Journalist Who Doesn’t Hear but Listens”), sharing a powerful story of perseverance, resilience, and proving that hearing loss does not have to limit success.
