Insurance for Hearing Aids

We are contracted with most major insurances

Each health plan is different and hearing aid coverage within a plan may vary based on the company or industry providing the insurance. For example many union plans or plans for the airline industry offer hearing benefits for their members from contracted providers like us.

Insurance and Hearing Aids

Health insurance can be very beneficial when the need for a hearing aid arises. New Generation understands insurance coverage and is here to answer any questions you may have about your health benefits.

Original Medicare, Part A and Part B

Original Medicare doesn’t cover routine hearing exams or hearing aids. It does, however, cover diagnostic hearing tests that your doctor orders for a medical need.

Medicare Advantage plans (Medicare Part C)

Most Medicare Advantage Plans, such as Blue Cross Blue Shield Federal, Aetna, Cigna, CarePlus, Humana Gold, Preferred Care Network, Preferred Care Partners, Simply Medicare, and United Healthcare Medicare Plans, cover hearing exams and offer benefits toward your hearing aids purchase. Our staff can help you understand your benefits and in most cases no referral or prescription is needed.

Private (Commercial) Insurance

To determine if your Commercial health insurance covers hearing aids, our office would be happy to verify your individual plan benefits. We can contact your insurance company for you or answer any questions you may have.
